2 random statements for each of the 10 weeks that I've been gone (+11 extra ones because I thought that I was going to write 70 statements but then I hit thirty and I felt like ripping my hair out and now I have this super long parenthesis in my title AH!)

Hello Hello Hello!  It's been a hot minute. One of my goals for this fine new year is to write on this blog biweekly. I cannot promise that it'll all be good writing, I can actually assure all 5 of you that're reading this that the majority of it will not be. But I'm a big believer in the whole "practice makes perfect" thing so I think that by hurling 26 balls in the air a few of them are bound to make it in the net. We shall see we shall see. Today, I offer you thirty-one statements.  Mint chocolate chip ice-cream is crappy.  Knowing how to jump rope is not an essential skill.  I am obsessed with the idea of doing karaoke but I probably would be too chicken to step up to them mic.  People always give me planners for my birthday because I’m “organized” but they end up just sitting in my closet so maybe I’m just wasteful.  Standup comedy is one of the best forms of storytelling---when done well.  My favorite characters from HBO’s Girls are all of the b...

Calculus AB & Me

My relationship with math has always been a turbulent one full of chicken scratch notes, bad assessments, and sometimes (most of the time) some kind of redemption arc. This year has been no different, it's been heightened honestly, with everything that's going on. Last night I spent five (5) hours studying for a test that I had today and it was annoying, and frustrating, and honestly kind of exhausting. But the test wasn't.So.

Tune Tour

The other day I was messing around Pinterest (as you do) and felt a massive urge to renovate my life in some sort of long lasting but not super tangible way (as you do) so I decided to redo my  spotify playlist covers. I'm very particular about my playlists. I've the same 9 for 3 years and they're all poorly titled and horribly curated. I love them dearly. But I knew that it was time for a change so I dedicated my Sunday afternoon (+ night) to vamping them up. Here are the results!  me, listening to my new playlists

How to Make an Envelope from Scratch

Back in the olden days (read: 2015) I decided to start a small business where I would sell handmade paper envelopes to my classmates in exchange for...wait for it...STICKY NOTES. After a couple of short weeks the Principal shut us down (because a paper envelope company was  so serious) but my lackluster skill for creating paper envelope remains intact. So enjoy this video!

Let's Talk About Stripes

Stripes are the unofficial Virgo pattern. Think about it. Stripes are organized, they're consistent, and they straddle the line between being interesting and obnoxious. If that doesn't scream Virgo I don't know that does! Anybody who knows me knows that I am a sucker for a good striped top. I have a Gap multi-colored striped sweater that I bought 4 years ago that I still wear to this day. Not because it is even remotely stylish---because it is FAR from that, but because it's just one of those items of clothing that makes me feel... good. The history of the stripe spans far and wide from the outcasts of 13th-century European society wearing the bold pattern causing it to be seen as 'The Devil's Cloth', the French Navy's adoption of the 'Brenton Stripe' in 1958, and the people of Wall-Street donning their black  and blue pinstriped suits that are now seen as the professional standard. Companies like La Ligne "Believe in the univers...
